Red-legged seriema

A red-legged seriema from the Caatinga biome triggers one of the camera traps from our project. The red-legged seriema is found in open and semi-open habitats across Eastern South America, and we often get seriema pictures at our study sites. This particular picture was taken during the rainy season.
