Green Anaconda

A green anaconda rests on top of a tree. This is the World's heaviest snake and one of the longest ones (along the Reticulated and Burmese Pythons). It feeds on large prey, such as capibaras and yacaré caymans. The green anaconda has a wide distribution on swamps and wetlands across South America, including the island of Trinidad.
