South American Coati

Yesterday, Brazil and the United States celebrated Mother's Day. To commemorate it, here is a picture of a female coati with her two offspring. After a gestation period of 77 days, female coatis give birth to 2-4 pups. Female pups will remain in the group in which they were born, while male pups will disperse after 3 years.
